Sharing Web Resources
Learning is what we do constantly in our daily lives, and
gathering information in early childhood profession is our culture just to keep
us abreast of current happenings. Last week I was able to make contact with
Global Fund for Children and I received a confirmation from them immediately
and also a newsletter this week. The name of the organization I selected is
called The Global Fund for Children and their link is http://www.globalfundforchildren.org.
This organization focuses on giving children the opportunity
to grow up healthy and save and also get an education. They achieve this by
scouting for organizations that help take care of marginalized children in the
world and they also support local community leaders and youths that are
involved in taking care of children. They support these local organizations by
giving them money in order to pursue
their dreams, grow bigger, get stronger and reach even more children in need.
One of the news from the website that caught my attention is
the story of a disabled boy, the story is titled “Redefining Dance (Wheelchair
Included): Kostya’s Story. With the support of Global Fund for Children donors
AMI-East helps children with disabilities to discover their strengths, build confidence
and independence, and show the world that they are worthy of dignity and
respect
I think I will subscribe to this one too. I'm interested in reading about Kostya's Story. I'm glad that we are choosing other resources. It definitely helps us to learn about other resources and possibly gain more information than if we were just studying the one website and newsletter.
ReplyDeleteHi Patience
